We decided to head out to head out to Muir Beach, Sausalito and Tiburon on Saturday. It was a gorgeous day, and we couldn't wait to take a walk along the beach. We headed to Marin County to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. As we were driving we kept on talking about how the weather was perfect.
Unfortunately, there was a lot of fog at Muir Beach. As soon as we drove through the tunnel, I knew it was not going to be pretty, but we hoped that it might be better at the beach. We drove on in, parked the car, and looked at the fog cover ocean. As soon as we got out of the car, I looked down at my goose-bumped covered body and realized we were only going to take a picture before we headed on our wonderful weekend journey. Notice the fog? We quickly jumped back in to the car and headed into Sausalito. Thank goodness the weather was BEAUTIFUL there!! We went to our favorite Sausalito restaurant, Horizons, to enjoy a drink and appetizers on the water. From there we strolled around the shops before we headed over to Tiburon.
We decided to go to Sams because it was highly recommended by many friends. There must have been a wine festival earlier that day (many tents were being taken down as we parked the car). We walked into Sam's and the first thing I heard a guy saying to a woman was, "You are totally a cougar!" Although she admitted to this, I was wondering where my friends had sent me. We walked on to the back deck and were bombarded with drunk people (I have never seen so many intoxicated people in one place since Chico). We nudged our way up to the bar to get a drink, and enjoyed watching the hilarious patrons.
Sunday morning, we headed over to San Francisco. We met Emily, Ian, Elizabeth and Justin at MoMos. We sat on the front deck enjoying the sun and chatting with our friends.
A little while later, Joe and Sarah came and met us at MoMo's. We had a great time catching up with them since we don't get to see them often (they live in Boston). Needless to say, the four of us headed to the game in the 7th inning. Since it was cold and windy, we stayed at the game for 15-20 minutes before we headed over to Brent's place in Little Italy. We met up with some old friends as well as some of Joe's former MIT classmates. From there we headed to one of our favorite restaurants, Steps of Rome, before calling it a weekend. To say the least, it was a weekend to remember!
