Layered Bean Dip

I made some delicious bean dip yesterday! I've never made it before, but I must say I will definitely make it again! I didn't follow a recipe, I just chopped and added until it looked right.

Ingredients:

1 can (16 oz) refried black beans

1 can (4 oz) fire roasted diced green chiles

Fat free sour cream

cholula

lettuce

2% mexican blend cheese

2 diced roma tomatoes

1/4 diced red onion

diced avocado

bag of Doritos

**Here's what I did:

1. warmed up the beans for about 30 seconds

2. added chiles to beans, stirred then spread across the bottom of a dish

3. spread sour cream on top

4. sprinkled on some Cholula

5. chopped lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and avocado into small bite size pieces

6. layered lettuce, cheese, onions, tomatoes, and onions on top of one another

7. poured some Doritos into a bowl

8. ENJOYED!!!!

I cannot wait to make this yummy treat again.

Valentine PomPoms

These adorable Valentine PomPoms are adorable, cheap, and easy to create. Just follow the directions below:

1. Supplies:
*5 pieces of tissue paper
*Scissors
*String (I used ribbon, but I would suggest using fishing wire)

2. Fold your tissue paper in half and cut on the crease.

3 and 4. Accordion fold the tissue paper.

5. Fold in half and tie the string around the center.

6. Cut the end of the tissue paper in an oval or an angle. I made a triangular angle.

7. Take one layer of the tissue paper and spread it open. Repeat with the next for layers on that side. Turn your pompom half way and repeat with other side.

8. Turn your pompom over and repeat with the bottom half.

9. Fluff your tissue paper so that it forms a ball shape.

10. Hang your pompom.

11. Make it some friends same way.

Enjoy!

New Year's Resolution #2

Get crafty...

I love, love, love crafts! Unfortunately, I do not spend as much time as I would like on them. I am going to do one new craft project very month this year.

This Valentine wreath is my first one:

You will need:

Scissors

3/4 yard felt

Styrofoam heart

Straight pins

Patience (it took me about 2 hours to cut out the 3" circles and pin them on)

I got this cute idea here .

New Years Resolution #1

Eat healthy...
I know this is typical resolution, but I am going to jump on this bandwagon (again).
I decided I always eat healthier when I plan my meals, so I am going to plan my meals for the week, make a shopping list, and go grocery shopping on Sundays. Then Sunday afternoon, I am going to chop, measure, mix, until I have my meals together. It is so nice to grab prechopped veggies when I need a snack or grab my premade salads for lunch.
Here are some pics of what I made last Sunday.
